Wild HOLIDAY BUNCH

creative outdoor holiday club for 7-11 years old nature explorers

The Wild Holiday Bunch is ecobirmingham’s popular holiday scheme for children aged 7-11 years old. It provides a safe and supportive environment for children to explore the world at their doorstep and themselves while learning new skills.

For the past two years Wild Holiday Bunch has been delivered at Masefield Community Garden, a RHS winning garden in Northfield. In 2018 we are excited to announce that we will additionally be delivering three days at the magical world of Martineau Gardens in Edgbaston.

At Wild Holiday Bunch, each day is packed with plenty of sensory activities, exciting games to learn about our environment, fun gardening projects & creative natural crafts.

Examples of past activities involved growing wheat in April, harvesting the grains in August to attempt making flour,  learning about soil, using clay to make paint and create amazing articrafts, making our own charcoal pencils and become natural artists, creating a natural fashion show with the flora available on site, and much much more…

In 2017 we introduced more nature-inspired art to work on Arts Award Discover level. Children were able to learn about environmental art and obtain a nationally recognised certificate.

And naturally there will always be enough time for the ever favourite den-building and camp fire cooking!

Wild Holiday Bunch is run by our experienced Forest School practitioner with the help of enthusiastic DBS checked volunteers.
